Student Support Services

At Tanner Elementary, we believe every child deserves the academic, social, and emotional support they need to thrive. Our student support services are built into daily learning and reinforced by a strong network of teachers, specialists, and family partnerships.

Academic Support

  • Classroom Teachers provide strong, standards-based instruction from Kindergarten through 5th grade, as well as Special Day Classes (SDC) for students with additional learning needs.
  • Intervention & RTI/MTSS Teachers (Ms. Delia Kiely, Ms. Sara Parker-Aiken) deliver targeted small-group and one-on-one instruction to help students succeed in reading, math, and language development.
  • Special Education Support (Ms. Irene Hanson, Ms. Maria Najera, Mr. Sergio Soriano Jr., Ms. Rebecca Rodriguez) ensures personalized services and accommodations for students with IEPs.
  • Early Learning Support in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten (led by Ms. Annie Garrett, Ms. Etati Sanchez, Ms. Dawna Slater, Ms. Alma Leal, and Ms. Erin Peck) helps establish strong foundations for future learning.
